The “Curious & Courageous” 2026 Student and Business Delegation to Asia
A Delegation is not Study Abroad. No university credits will be earned. No grades will be given. The experience will be transformative. The work of Delegates is to harness their curiosity and courage and explore opportunities for meaningful collaboration, Study Abroad, internships, employment, and otherwise immerse themselves in Asia for 10 days in June. Thirty (30) University Student Delegates will then make informed decisions about the viability of opportunities in Asia for themselves and their peers, advise, and follow-up accordingly. Fifteen (15) Business leaders serving as Delegation Planning committee Chairs, industry experts working in banking, finance, education, entrepreneurship, human resources, innovation, culture & creativity, law and policy, and STEM bring decades of experience to exploring the viability of professional opportunities in the region for their companies, employees, potential hires and collaborators.
GEI’s 2026 Delegation to Asia bridges the gap between university and the world of work, familiar terrain and the world beyond by offering Student Delegates: practical application for all they’re learning in university; small group and one-on-one connections with Mentors in Motion, industry leaders in 10 different fields; seminars on special topics, taught by Mentors in Motion; events and activities designed to develop social and professional networking skills; language workshops; immersion into the region via tourism, culture, cuisine and more.
Supporting GEI’s 2026 Delegation to Asia helps build global bridges and fuels the pipeline of prosperity. Donate now and invest in the future.
Yours, globally,
Dr. Jackie Modeste

Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance (1841)
“It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.”
What if the language for your ideas has not yet been written?
“Call me Ishmael… I am tormented with an everlasting itch for things remote. I love to sail forbidden seas, and land on barbarous coasts.”
— Herman Melville, Moby Dick
